The Story

Altgrain exists because of a diagnosis. When Barney Hall was identified as coeliac at age one, his father Adam set about finding a way to brew beer without any gluten containing ingredients. Not gluten reduced. Not enzyme treated. Truly free from. They spent years learning the malting process and building specialist equipment to produce small batch artisanal malts from ancient grains. The result is one of the very few UK breweries brewing with entirely non gluten containing ingredients.

GF approach: No barley or wheat. Brewed in a dedicated gluten-free brewhouse using malted millet, quinoa, and buckwheat.
