The Story

Green's was founded in 2004 by Derek Green, who was diagnosed with coeliac disease and wanted to reclaim his relationship with beer. He partnered with Belgian brewmaster Dirk Naudts, who holds a biochemistry degree, to develop a naturally gluten free formula at De Proef Brewery in Belgium. Green's claims to have introduced the first gluten free beer to the UK market in 2004. The brewery operates an on site research laboratory with advanced testing equipment and maintains over 20 years in the gluten free brewing space.

GF approach: Brewed using sorghum, millet, brown rice, and buckwheat instead of barley or wheat. No chemical removal or enzyme treatment. Certified through the National Celiac Association's Gluten Free Food Program.
